The hard work, patience, perseverance, courage,optimism, dedication, everything blend together to make the beautiful result called “Success”.
The willpower says it all. It does not matter if the person was born in a small village, or distant area, if he/she has the enormous courage to shape the future, then they can do much better than anyone sitting in the midst of unturned opportunities. Working hard is the choice, not a rule for living. But it is the rule to become successful.
Salem Nayef Saeed Al-Akhdar Al-Kathiri also known as SalemNayef is the acting President of United Arab Emirates VolleyballFederation. He was born in a small village in United Arab Emirates,and work very hard from his childhood to get through life.
36 years old Salem Nayef became the Member of the Board of directors of the General Sports Federation of GovernmentalInstitutions for His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan in 2011. Next year, he became the Member of the Board of Directors of the United Arab Emirates Volleyball Federation nominated honorary President of the Emirates Volleyball Federation- His Highness Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He was also promoted to Assistant Secretary-General of the General SportsFederation of Governmental Institutions in the same year.
Salem Nayef became the Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi LocalDepartments in 2013 Takaful Fund. 2015 was a memorable year in his life, as Salem Nayef became the First Vice President of the United Arab Emirates Volleyball Federation.
Any kind of sports was the favorite activity of Salem Nayef. In his childhood days, he used to indulge in sports every day enthusiastically. His keen interest in sports, made him realize his goal in life. Salem Nayef decided to choose sports as his career and planned accordingly.
He did Bachelor’s of Arts in Law and Diploma in management engineering from Cairo University. He is also alumnus of the University of Sharjah, as he completed his degree in Strategic planning and a diploma in Sports management from that institute.
Salem Nayef says, “Do the best you can. No one can do more than that. Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.” Believe in yourself, take on your challenges, dig deep within yourself to conquer fears. He wants to become a man of value, rather than a man of success.
Salem Nayef‘s list of achievements is quite long. He led several sports delegations in Gulf, Arab and Asian championships, and also was a member of the Supreme Committee for Tribal Celebrations. He is the Head of Competitions in the “Emirates VolleyballFederation”, the member of the Supreme Committee of the “WorldCup for Volleyball Teams”, and the chairman of the National TeamsCommittee.
A winner is a dreamer who never gives up. Only do what your heart tells you.
