Simon Rieber is a Tanzanian painter best known for his portrait Paintings. Although innately drawn to drawing and painting, his formal education was in Computer Science, at the University Of Dar es salaam, where he graduated with a master’s degree in computer science. His early artistic influences are implemented in the lively, vibratory, and colorful works of his paintings.
Simon Cosmas Michael his real name, (Born: May 18, 1994) is a painter and illustrator born in Dar es salaam. He is one of the artists who made Digital Portrait Painting popular in Dar es salaam. He is known for his series of portrait paintings of the father of the Nation Julius Kambarage Nyerere, and his daughter honorable prime minister Kasimu Majaliwa. So far he has painted more than 100 portraits.
He has been drawing different portraits since 2013. However, his works have been spreading online since 2018 when he started uploading his works to (Art Majeur) Art Gallery.
In 2018, for the first time, he drew a portrait of renowned artist Quavo. In the title of his paintings, he has mentioned Quavo as is his favorite rapper all the time.

His hard work and creativity is talking his places and this has made him gain more fans and followers on his social media handles. Apart from being famous, Simon Rieber has also collaborate with many company which are helping him a comfortable life together with his family.

“it is about being patient, nothing comes that easy. At first, I thought posting my artwork was easy. Many challenges have come and this has made me to be more resilient and get moving forward.
“Fame has a lot of challenges because everyone treats you with what they see on social network and others even despise you when you do developmental things”, Simon said.
Maintaining his private and public life has also been one of the challenges he has faced.
He further added that he intends to expand his business and to go international some of his social media followers are making several orders.
