Abdelkader Bachr is the epitome of the American dream. At just 24 years old, he is making $100,000 per month from managing his own business. Many people who are double his age can only dream of making this much in a year, yet here he is, a college drop-out with zero debt and a successful 6-figure business to boot.
Anybody who hears Bachr’s story is immediately curious and has many questions; how did he do it, what strategies did he use, and how has he been able to build his businesses?
Seeking Mentorship
Many might think that Bachr was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, but this could not be farther from the truth. Bachr was born into a low-income family and grew up believing that the only way to succeed was through getting a college degree. When he eventually got to college, Bachr was exposed to a new reality. It began to dawn on him that there were more ways to achieve the American dream, apart from having a degree. Before he received his degree, he dropped out of college.
Over time, Bachr began to develop an avid interest in digital marketing and how much easier it was to reach people with particular demographics and interests. This was something that could never be done before with newspaper or television advertising. Bachr wanted to learn everything he could about digital marketing, so started seeking out mentors who would take him under their wings and teach him the rudiments of the trade.
“Every new entrepreneur should seek out a mentor who can guide them at the beginning of their business pursuits,” Bachr said. “If you don’t have good mentorship, you’ll spend so much of your time trying to figure out the right and wrong ways of doing things. It is better to save time and achieve success faster by listening to the advice of a mentor who already knows about these things.”
Having A Positive Mindset
As an entrepreneur, your most vital tool is your mindset. Having a mentor is essential, but a mentor cannot show you the way to achieve success if you are not willing to do the work to achieve it. Many entrepreneurs think that paying for an expensive coaching program will solve all their problems.
However, a mentor is only a guide to fill in the gaps and answer questions on your journey to success. Without working on your mindset, you won’t get far. You need to maintain positivity and enthusiasm to continue to push for your goals.
“Even if I lost everything tomorrow for whatever reason, I could always rebuild everything again,” Bachr said. “All I need to do is fall back on my positive mindset and avoid looking at obstacles in a negative light. It is a hard thing for many entrepreneurs to do, but that is what separates the winners from the losers.”
