Meet Marcela Latinbabe- self-made business owner and elite model
It’s no secret that the modeling industry is a very desirable and rewarding field to build a career in; however, it is filled with fierce competition often making it extremely difficult for anyone to break in and achieve success. This did not stop model Marcela Latinbabe, an entrepreneur who built her success from nothing but her own hard work and determination to succeed. Marcela has been involved in fashion modeling for almost 10 years, but 2 years ago she made the decision to take her talents and experience to the professional level. Her consistent efforts paid off, as she now earns well over six-figures, but her success did not come overnight.
Many individuals claim to be self-made, but Marcela knows what it really takes to build yourself from nothing. Born and raised in Costa Rica with very little money, times were difficult for her family and opportunity was no where to be found. Fortunately, Marcela’s mother was able to secure a job in New York and relocate there, giving Marcela a chance to chase the American Dream. It was in New York that Marcela’s modeling hopes were born, but she emphasizes that it began as a distant dream. She still had to make ends meet, and although she struggled for many years, she remained patient and never lost sight of her goals.
Marcela attributes a few traits to her inspiring success as a model- patience and the ability to remain true to yourself in an industry that often strips you of your authenticity. Latinbabe was aware that many people shared similar looks and physical features that she possessed, but Marcela also understood that people connect with authentic individuals, which has attributed to much of her success and has separated her from competition. She stated that many of her fans on social media look to her as a friend and share a special connection with her, as she is always warm, open, and welcoming to them.
In the last few years alone, Marcela has accomplished many things that most models only dream of one day doing. Just a few months ago in April of 2020, she achieved her dream of being a published model as she was featured in Playboy South Africa. This opportunity occurred while she was on a work trip in Punta Cana located in the Dominican Republic. She has also worked with many of the most popular brands such as PrettyLittleThing, YOINS, and countless others. For Marcela, this is only the beginning as she aspires to appear in many more publications such as Playboy and Maxim, just to name a few.
Aside from modeling, Marcela is passionate about making a difference in the world, and plans to do so through utilizing her platform and massive social media following. She is very involved in both the “Me Too” and “Black Lives Matter” movements, and strives to take meaningful actions towards raising awareness in every way she can. She has already succeeded in personally donating as well as creating fundraisers for organizations such as the CDC Foundation to help fight Covid-19. She has also created fundraisers for various other organizations that are assisting people in other countries during the pandemic. Currently, Marcela is donating and spreading awareness on the humanitarian crisis in Yemen, something she believes is overlooked in many parts of the world.
Marcela Latinbabe is definitely someone you should keep your eye out for in 2020 and beyond. She is a role model and inspiration to many, as well as a strategic businesswoman.
