Danielle Mercedez is a Colombian and Puerto Rican woman with the determination to level up every day as an individual and brand. She is 27 years of age; She is a proud Latina born and raised in Philadelphia. She was raised by her grandparents, both immigrants from Colombia. She takes pride in her background personally and professionally. She’s been brought up to chase her dreams and achieve her goals.
Danielle is the owner of “Danielle Mercedez Luxury Hair”. Her business was created to help with self-confidence and self-esteem. She has always had a special love for hair, she just never knew wig making was it. Her business started because her best friend’s daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia at the age of 5, just seeing how her best friend was becoming depressed with her daughter’s hair loss. Danielle struggled to find a wig that suited her.
So, she took it upon herself to make her a custom wig. She then bought all the materials she needed and did a lot of research (which is key in every brand/business) and was able to make the perfect wig for her best friend’s daughter. Her daughter was so happy telling her mom she felt pretty again. From there Danielle knew she wanted to enhance girls and women’s beauty by making more wigs and perfecting her craft.
While she is working on making more premade wigs, she is constantly creating custom made wigs for her clients. Her wigs are of astonishing quality and they are perfect for any occasion like birthdays, weddings or just because you’re having a bad hair day. She wants her business to branch out to brides with ready to wear hairstyles. Danielle mentions, “On my wedding day, I did not have the time to go to the hair salon and get my makeup done all in the same morning. I created a custom wig for my wedding day. The morning of my wedding it only took me 10 minutes to install!! I was then ready to walk down the aisle.”
